I bought an iPad

I have spent most of my life making fun of and hating Apple products. I’ve always been a PC user and have grown up using computers based on any flavor of Linux or Windows. It’s always been hard for me to understand why people prefer simplicity over choice; protection, and security over power to decide; slick design (yes, it’s nice and cool, but y'all look the same, just like the Stormtroopers) over diversity, and personality.

In one of my past jobs, I was given a Mac Book Pro. I clearly remember how that machine which is supposed to make people feel smart made me feel so extremely dumb. Where’s the right button? – I thought. How do I switch to the fourth window I was using ten seconds ago? – I cursed. The machine’s performance was great, it was easy to carry, and had a dazing battery life. However, it didn't team up well with me and I was relieved when I finally left that job to pursue my next adventure.

That said, I’ve been wanting for a while to be able to draw sketches and diagrams for my blog and my daily job. I also need a better tool to be able to read technical books and take notes on them. After carefully evaluating the available options, it seemed clear that the combination of an iPad and an Apple Pencil is the best option available to draw diagrams. I have never heard anyone complain about reading on an iPad either. So, after many thoughts, evaluations, and assessments, I decided to go for it and buy an iPad 🤦.

Will I come to love Apple products? Will I keep hating Apple but now with knowledgeable judgment? Who knows what the future will bring.
